Thank you for posting this interview with the author. And I know as a Christian pastor you were having to bite your tongue in the show. But if I may encourage you a little, not worry about your listeners, and let your tongue go a little when this type of thing happens.
I will say that in the content of the interview when he talks about asking the pasture to (in a way) speak to him, and for him to take the posture of humility, is I’ll say, a good position to take. Specifically when considering going along with God’s order of things, learning HOW to care for and manage pasture, grass, soil, and livestock. And to learn from nature (God’s Order). HOWEVER… as a Christian, and as a Believer, I cannot take that position of such a level of presumed “humility” when God Himself has placed us, those created in His image to “Rule over the earth, and subdue it” Gen 1:28. And lets not forget that this world is fallen, and not what it once was. Because of sin. Now… I COMPLETELY agree that we have indeed gone about subduing it wrongly with conventional agriculture. And I THANK GOD for your work, and your Podcast!! You are doing the good work of waking us all up to the wrongdoing, AND showing us a much better way!
The Name of God…. This guys attempt to even come close to messing with God’s name… whoa! He’s coming very close to (if not rocketing down that lane already) “Worshiping the created, rather than the Creator.”
“relationship with our food” …When Christ gave us “The Lord’s Prayer” He taught us to 1) give glory to God, and to Hallow His Name. 2) Asking us, to ask Him for forgiveness of our sins. Then, after those two profound issues, he asks us to ask him to “give us this day our daily bread.” God knows we need food to survive… I don’t think He intends us to have a “relationship” with our food as the author of the book has laid out. Christ’s lesson in the Lords prayer is utter reliance on Him for all of our needs.
Again, I know as a pastor you were most likely biting your tongue, a bit. And these things I’ve mentioned are in no way new to you at all. I JUST had to get it off my chest, and let you know my thoughts!
May the one who gave us life, and air in our lungs continue to bless you and your family, my Brother!

Jake! Thanks for your reply and your push back. I appreciate it. I will let Daniel speak for himself.
I will say this for myself. I wrestle regularly with handling this platform faithfully. I’d love to have a discussion with you about these things if you want to reach out through the contact us page or (605)549-5401.
