Good Monday morning to all you critter and land loving folks. It has been crickets on the blog front the past few weeks because we have been wrangling the chaos. Grazing season has officially begun for us, we jumped in two weeks ago and have been zooming ever since! We started our Monday out two weeks ago by starting a remodel project in our home, then the cows came, and by the end of the day I was fighting with a reel of poly wire and losing! It felt like a lot to tackle in a day, and all I know is if you find yourself fighting with a reel at the end of a full day, I pray you have someone as willing and pocketknife toting as my eight year old…he was all too happy to help! Sometimes you have to know when to literally cut your losses and start over, or just walk away for the day. So many other things seem to have happened this past two week I will have to revisit some another writing, but I will say one word here in all the chaos…rain…and not just a little shower, a creek flooding, dam filling, grass growing, God is Good, hope giving rain came! We are just so thankful, and even more so as we have had smoke blow in the past few days from Canada, we know what it is like to be super dry and be worried about fire, we are praying for you all to catch a break soon! We are settling into our busy season and squeezing in fun where we can, the kids were tucked in last night with the promise of a swim in the dam today, it isn’t fancy, but when you have been walking across it dry for the past three years, you get out and make a splash!
Blessings to you, yours, and your operation.
