Good Monday morning to all you critter and land loving folks. We recently received our first shipment of Sea 90 Ocean Minerals, a whole semi-load worth! We took this opportunity very seriously and spent quite a bit of time and prayer while deciding on becoming a distributor for our area. We have been impressed by what we have used on our own land and livestock and feel we can promote it honestly to a customer. We used garlic salt all summer with custom grazers, and continue to use it with our cows, sheep, goats, and horses. The thing I am really excited about is the soil mineralizer we were able to use on our ground before planting a cover crop. We received wonderful rain this past growing season and the cover crop did exciting things. We are going to leave it standing and hope to custom graze some cattle over the winter and let them finish off their time here on that field. I don’t post this as a sales pitch today, this is a paradigm thing for us, and I hope it encourages you. We run a super small acreage for our neck of the woods, this means we would never be able to bring one of our kids back to the ranch, and they all know that. We view this venture as a possibility for one of our kids if they did want to stay in the neighborhood. The cattle industry is strong right now, and we all must decide if it is the right time to diversify our operations. This is one way we are trying to do just that for our future. Maybe it does open a door for one of our kids, maybe it turns into more retirement, maybe it fades away, but it won’t have been wasted, and we won’t have to wonder if we missed an opportunity. So that wasn’t the sales pitch, but this is, eight weeks ago I shared we had guardian puppies, they are ready to go. If you need help deciding, go read blog #24 about the daddy dog!
Blessings to you, yours, and your operation.
