Good Monday morning to all you critter and land loving folks. This past week was full of deliveries. Every other day we were greeted by packages that increased in size. All of which sent Clay into a can’t wait to fence frenzy. It was all our electric fence supplies, we plan to use around our home place. I am sure we will be the talk of our neighborhood as we plan to mob graze our acreage with a milk cow and five goats. Speaking of the nurse/milk cow, Mocha, she has taken to the idea that I am the keeper of all delicious meals. I hope to keep getting her warmed up to us. Her warming up and the weather warming up will both have to happen before all those huge boxes can disappear from the yard and turn into a fence.
Right on track with our every other day deliveries, baby goats started appearing mid-week and wrapped up yesterday morning with my last momma goat kidding. Our herd is now four cute billy goats larger. Their arrival kept the path to the barn worn down and night checks seemed they may never end. But, they are here in all their glory, and they all have homes that have spoken for them already. It will be a small scale lesson for our own kids on raising and selling livestock. I can see some teary days ahead for the funny farm. The new year is definitely in full swing around here. Blessings to you, yours, and your operation.
