Good Monday morning to all you critter and land loving folks. This past week we had opportunity to clean up around the ranch. We pulled out some fence that was down and some old posts that we had piled last fall. I feel the need to say this was one of the last weeks I would be willing to stick my hand down in old grass where I couldn’t see well, because I fully expect to see my first snake of the spring any ol’ day…and then I am a quitter. I fully intend to buy a pair of snake boots this summer! All that to say, while we were cleaning, I saw a first in my lifetime, a goose went and landed in a tree not too far from us. So being the informed blogger that I strive to be, I went and googled if that was a common happening, because surely google would know. Turns out it does happen from time to time. They will take over an already established nest of another bird in a tree, or sometimes they will be getting bark for their own nest building venture. I had just never seen it happen before, and I took a few pictures to show the kids. As I was working on getting close enough to snap a picture, I had visions of this goose dive bombing me, and I am pretty sure that would hurt, so I got only as brave as a phone camera allows. Nothing that wild happened, but I evidentially I have an active imagination at times.
Blessings to you, yours, and your operation.
